Blogging on the Brain

I know I've been quiet here recently. It's because I've been working on some new blogs. I'm totally bitten by the writing bug. Everything I do, I think, "Hmmm, that might make a good blog post." I need to start carrying around a notebook to jot down all my ideas.

I'd love it if you visit (and subscribe!) my other blogs. Each one is a bit more specialized, as opposed this one, which is kind of a mish-mash. I'd love to hear your feedback. What you'd like to see on each blog. Suggestions of topics, etc.

To make life easier, here are the links:

  • Cup of Creativi-Tea: I'm sharing all things creative, whethere it's cooking, sewing, or kid crafts. Maybe some bellydancing (that's creative!). I'm also adding lots of tutorials.
  • I'm Not the Nanny: Parenting stories, with some musings about raising biracial kids in a racially conscious world
  • Laugh in Bed: Intimacy and relationships. Maybe some sex.

I'll still post here occassionally until I get the other ones established! Thanks for reading!

My Trader Joe's Chocolate Feast

When the Trader Joe's opened less than a mile from me, I was ecstatic. I think I stop there at least once a week. Sometimes more.

I love dark chocolate, the darker the better! However, I was craving peanut butter cups. I used to like Reese's peanut butter cups, but I like my peanut butter smooth and creamy. Reese's isn't quite that creamy.

I picked up a small tub of Trader Joe's milk chocolate mini peanut butter cups. They are so cute! And a serving size is 27 mini cups. LOL. I maybe ate 10 of them. Sophia says they were the best dessert ever! I guess that means it passes the test. (See how tiny they are?) Their creamy centers just pop in your mouth. Fun to eat.

Since I'm pregnant, I have an excuse to buy more chocolate right? I also bought a bar of 73% cacao with almonds. After putting Sophia to bed, I treated myself to the chocolate and a glass of cold milk. (That's a Japanese mug I thrifted. There's 2 more in the set.)

What treasures will I find the next time I'm at Trader Joe's?

I'm just a fan of Trader Joe's. No one paid me or bought me chocolate for this post.

Yum! I love those mini cups to mix into brownies or on top of ice cream or just by the handful :)

Yum! Thanks for the recommendation! TJs has such great stuff and I love discovering new things there. I'm definitely going to pick some up on my next TJs run! Hopefully I'll run into you or Smiling Mama there. :)
