Blogging on the Brain

I know I've been quiet here recently. It's because I've been working on some new blogs. I'm totally bitten by the writing bug. Everything I do, I think, "Hmmm, that might make a good blog post." I need to start carrying around a notebook to jot down all my ideas.

I'd love it if you visit (and subscribe!) my other blogs. Each one is a bit more specialized, as opposed this one, which is kind of a mish-mash. I'd love to hear your feedback. What you'd like to see on each blog. Suggestions of topics, etc.

To make life easier, here are the links:

  • Cup of Creativi-Tea: I'm sharing all things creative, whethere it's cooking, sewing, or kid crafts. Maybe some bellydancing (that's creative!). I'm also adding lots of tutorials.
  • I'm Not the Nanny: Parenting stories, with some musings about raising biracial kids in a racially conscious world
  • Laugh in Bed: Intimacy and relationships. Maybe some sex.

I'll still post here occassionally until I get the other ones established! Thanks for reading!

Laughter is the best thanks

A few quick minutes before I leave to pick up my sister from the airport. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We made a wonderful spread (pictures to come later).

I think this was the best Thanksgiving better. As I was falling asleep last night, all I could think was, "I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard." In fact, my sides still ache from all that laughter. I cleaned the pie tin from our frozen pie so Sophia could use it as a new bath toy. She likes to "cook" with bubbles. I walk in to say hi, and she & dad or making bubble pies. He's threatening to put one in her face. I try to knock it out of his hand to hit his face but missed.

I look away for a moment and come back to my daughter getting pie'd in the face with bubbles. At first I didn't whether to panic or laugh. She had such a shocked looked. Then she inhaled and all the bubbles stuck to her nose disappeared--up her nose! I thought she was going to panic, but then she started laughing. Whew! Then I was next, completely surprised as I has holding my stomach, I was laughing so hard and BAM! pie in my face. (no thanks to hubby) He took it upon himself smash the bubble pie on his face.

Did you laugh yesterday? Do you laugh enough? I know I don't. I'm so thankful for my family. For the beautiful little girl who makes every moment exciting. For my wonderful husband who reminds me it's okay to be silly and have fun. And laugh. Even if it's only punny.

Oh, and Sophia got her first haircut ever. From me. . .more on that later. Don't worry, she still looks cute. I just can't believe I'm sad because she got her first haircut. She's 3!
