I've been a bit busy, so I'm extending my contest until March 15th! So please share with your friends! I could really use your suggestions.
Blogging on the Brain
I know I've been quiet here recently. It's because I've been working on some new blogs. I'm totally bitten by the writing bug. Everything I do, I think, "Hmmm, that might make a good blog post." I need to start carrying around a notebook to jot down all my ideas.
I'd love it if you visit (and subscribe!) my other blogs. Each one is a bit more specialized, as opposed this one, which is kind of a mish-mash. I'd love to hear your feedback. What you'd like to see on each blog. Suggestions of topics, etc.

I'll still post here occassionally until I get the other ones established! Thanks for reading!

- Laugh in Bed: Intimacy and relationships. Maybe some sex.

Snow Day! (image heavy)
We had real snow today in the DC area. As in 5 inches! We played in the snow, ate some snow, and went sledding--my first time! Just wanted to share some pics with you. Stay warm!

I was actually gathering snow here in an attempt to make a snowman. Alas the snow was too powdery. I look like I'm doing Arctic Tai Chi.
So, don't hide inside. Go out and play in the snow!

I'm shrinking!

Remember Alice in Wonderland? How she blindly drank the bottle that said "Drink me" and shrunk? I feel like that's what I must have done. While I was in Vegas, my roommates told me that my jeans were too big. Okay no, big deal. I knew they were a little big. But when I put on the pair of jeans that I thought fit me better, but they told me those were too big too.
Fast forward to today. I have no idea how much weight I've actually lost (I don't own a scale and don't plan on getting one), but almost all of my clothes are too big! I actually fit into clothes I couldn't wear BEFORE I was preggers. It's a crazy concept. It must be from chasing my toddler around. It's not that I mind losing weight. I've always felt good about my body size and have finally accumulated a wardrobe that I love. This just means that I have to start over with my wardrobe. What if I continue to lose weight? Oh my goodness, what if I go back to my college-sized self?
I've always thought I'm immune to society's view on women's bodies. (Except when I talk to my mother, but that's another story). I've always been proud of my plus size (and voluptuous) body. So now that I'm veering into that scary territory between "regular" size and plus size. Before I lost this weight I decided that I'm not going to buy any new clothes. I'm going to try to thrift everything. Except for underwear of course. I enjoy thrifting--have you tried it? Finding those hidden treasures is so exciting!
Okay, here's a picture of my skinnier self at our big awards banquet during Convention. I have such a great time wearing my dress! I felt like a princess. Sorry about the fuzziness of the picture. They kept putting out that fog and all the pics came out weird.
